Mission of the Club
Y-PEER Bhutan Club exists to:
- Strengthen youth capacity in sexual and reproductive health, mental well-being, and civic engagement.
- Promote inclusive, rights-based education through peer-led initiatives and collaborative partnerships.
- Foster leadership, innovation, and advocacy among young people to address social challenges and build resilient communities.
Vision Statement
To cultivate a generation of informed, empowered, and compassionate youth who led transformative change in Bhutan through peer education, inclusive dialogue, and community-driven action.
Purpose
- To empower youth through peer education, advocacy, and leadership development.
- To promote awareness on sexual and reproductive health, mental well-being, gender equality, and sustainable development.
Objectives
- Facilitate interactive learning sessions and outreach programs in schools, colleges, and communities.
- Build capacity of members through training, mentorship, and exposure to national/international platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to amplify youth voices and influence policy.
Membership
- Open to youth aged 15–29 committed to Y-PEER’s values.
- Members are expected to actively participate in meetings, events, and campaigns.
- Roles include: Focal Person, Vice Focal, Secretary, Media Focals, Editor, Reporting Coordinators and Treasurer.
Governance Structure
- Executive Committee elected annually through democratic process.
- Monthly meetings for planning, review, and decision-making.
- Subcommittees may be formed for specific initiatives (e.g. SRHR, Mental Health, Outreach).
Activities
- Peer education workshops, awareness campaigns, and community engagement.
- Observance of global days (e.g. International Youth Day, World AIDS Day).
- Capacity-building programs like ToT (Training of Trainers), webinars, and leadership retreats.
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Annual report documenting activities, outcomes, and challenges.
- Feedback surveys and reflection sessions for continuous improvement.
- Impact indicators may include outreach numbers, engagement levels, and behavioral change metrics.
Code of Conduct
- Respect, inclusivity, and non-discrimination are core values.
- Members must uphold confidentiality and professionalism.
- Zero tolerance for harassment or misuse of club resources
