On 2nd May 2025, the College of Science and Technology (CST) celebrated Teachers’ Day, a heartfelt occasion dedicated to honouring the invaluable contributions of teachers. The celebration held even greater significance as it coincided with the birth anniversary of His Majesty the Third Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the Father of Modern Bhutan. This made the event both meaningful and memorable, blending respect for educators with national reverence for a visionary leader.
The program began with expressions of gratitude from students, who organized cultural performances, speeches, and small gestures of appreciation to acknowledge the hard work, guidance, and dedication of their teachers. The vibrant performances showcased the creativity of the student community, while the heartfelt messages highlighted the deep respect and admiration the students hold for their mentors.
Teachers were honoured for their commitment to nurturing the next generation of engineers, innovators, and leaders. Their tireless support, academic guidance, and passion for teaching continue to shape CST into a centre of excellence.
By aligning Teachers’ Day with the birth anniversary of the Third Druk Gyalpo, the celebration also served as a reminder of Bhutan’s enduring values—wisdom, selfless service, national progress, and the importance of education. It was a day filled with appreciation, unity, and inspiration, reflecting CST’s strong sense of community and its commitment to upholding the legacy of His Majesty and the profound role of teachers in nation-building.
