Bhutan Kidney Foundation

Description of the club:

The Bhutan Kidney Foundation Club (BKF Club) in the College of Science and Technology is a student-led initiative in collaboration with the national Bhutan Kidney Foundation. The club focuses on raising awareness about kidney health, promoting healthy lifestyles, and supporting kidney patients. It provides a meaningful platform for students to contribute to social causes, particularly in the field of kidney-related health issues.

Motto: “Healthy Kidneys, Healthy Lives

Vision: To create a compassionate and informed student community that actively promotes kidney health, supports patients, and advocates for organ donation and chronic illness awareness.

Club Activities:

Awareness Campaigns: Conducted awareness sessions on kidney health during Health Week, World Kidney Day, and other college events.

Fundraising through Sports Competitions: Organized various sports competitions such as football and basketball tournaments to raise funds for kidney patients. These events not only raise money but also promote physical health and teamwork among students.

Volunteering and Collaboration: Club members have volunteered in national-level Bhutan Kidney Foundation programs and assisted in local patient support activities.

Creative Advocacy: Held poster competitions, health talks, and advocacy programs to spread information on kidney-related issues and the importance of organ donation.
